From Spare Parts to Masterpieces: My Journey to Redefine Luxury

Growing up, our backyard wasn’t a picture-perfect scene—it was what most would call “cluttered chaos.” My dad, a farm-raised junk collector and firefighter, saw treasure in every “spare part.” My mom called it madness, but to my little sister and me, it was magic.

Old car parts turned into race cars. Wood stumps and tires became obstacle courses. The old shed? Our detective agency. That backyard taught me an unforgettable lesson: even the most humble beginnings can transform into something extraordinary with a little creativity and imagination.

Creativity born from limitation shaped me into a dancer, singer, artist. And thanks to my dad’s love of sports and insistence on exercise, a softball player. Through these experiences, my creativity was joined by grit, collaboration, and resilience.

But my story isn’t just about creativity—it’s about my discovery of luxury, namely the luxury of choosing myself.

In my first career as an art teacher, I poured my heart into nurturing others’ creativity. But deep down, I knew the dreamer inside me—the one who once saw magic in spare parts—was waiting to emerge. So, I took a leap of faith. I left teaching and I chose myself. I chose the possibility of happiness over the misery I was experiencing. Terrifying? Yes. But truly liberating.

That leap brought me to interior design, where I learned to create spaces that embody comfort, elegance, and joy—luxuries I once thought were out of reach. I built my business from scratch, combining grit, creativity, and teamwork to help my clients experience not just design but transformation.

Then came another defining moment: I left an emotionally abusive relationship. For years, I had loved someone who had never truly chosen me. Walking away was hard, but it was also the most powerful act of self-love. I chose myself—and that choice transformed my life.

Today, my work reflects this journey. Every detail I design and every client I serve reminds me that true luxury isn’t about things—it’s about believing in your own worth and choosing yourself and in doing so, finding freedom.

And to think—it all started with a pile of spare parts in a dusty Arizona backyard.
